Katrina McNamara

Delta Door & Dock

Rooted in Delta County

Born and raised in Delta County, Katrina McNamara has always had a strong connection to her community and the people who call it home. Growing up in the Upper Peninsula instilled in her a love for hard work, resilience, and community involvement — values that have shaped both her personal and professional life. After high school, she took on a variety of waitressing jobs, which introduced her to the importance of exceptional customer service and building relationships with customers. These early experiences became the foundation for the career that would follow.

Nearly Two Decades of Leadership Experience

Katrina’s professional journey took a major leap forward in 2004 when she joined Sherwin-Williams in Escanaba. Starting out in a part-time role, she quickly demonstrated her work ethic, problem-solving ability, and commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Over the next 19 years, Katrina worked her way through every level of the store — from part-time associate to assistant manager, and eventually store manager.

Her time at Sherwin-Williams was transformative. Katrina became a trusted resource for both customers and staff, leading a team, solving challenges, and making sure clients had the right products and advice for their projects. This experience gave her deep insight into what it takes to run a successful business — from managing day-to-day operations to creating a positive culture for employees and customers alike.

Taking the Leap Into Entrepreneurship

While Katrina thrived at Sherwin-Williams, she and her husband Cory always had an eye on the future. Together, they dreamed of building something of their own — a business that reflected their shared vision, values, and dedication to customer satisfaction. After many discussions and careful planning, Katrina made the bold decision to leave her successful career and take on a new challenge.

In February of 2024, she officially “retired” from Sherwin-Williams and stepped into her role as CEO of Delta Door & Dock full-time. This leap was more than a career change — it was a commitment to her family, her community, and to growing a business that would serve the people of Delta County and beyond.

Expertise in Overhead Garage Doors

At Delta Door & Dock, Katrina specializes in overhead garage doors, bringing a unique combination of leadership, customer service, and technical skill to every project. Her passion for excellence is reflected in the company’s mission — providing dependable, high-quality installation and service with integrity and professionalism.

One of her recent accomplishments includes overseeing and installing 22 interior full-vision glass garage doors for the Oconto School District — a project that required careful planning, precise execution, and a commitment to excellence from start to finish.

Even with her new role as CEO, Katrina still enjoys working hands-on. She has kept her connection to her roots by continuing to custom-paint overhead garage doors during the summer, using her years of experience with color theory and product knowledge to help customers bring their vision to life.

A Philosophy of Service and Integrity

Delta Door & Dock operates with a simple but powerful philosophy — provide reliable, professional service while treating every customer like a neighbor. Katrina takes this philosophy seriously, focusing on building lasting relationships with the clients they serve.

The company proudly offers no-obligation, free estimates, emergency services, and manufacturer and labor warranties, so every customer feels confident and supported. Under Katrina’s leadership, Delta Door & Dock is not just a business — it’s a trusted partner for homeowners and businesses looking for solutions that last.

A Passion for Coaching and Mentorship

Beyond her work with Delta Door & Dock, Katrina has a passion for helping others grow and succeed. She serves as a high school varsity volleyball coach, sharing her love for the game and her leadership skills with young athletes. For Katrina, coaching isn’t just about wins and losses — it’s about teaching discipline, teamwork, and perseverance, lessons that carry far beyond the volleyball court.

Music, Creativity, and Community

Katrina is also a talented, self-taught musician. In 2008, she picked up a guitar and taught herself how to play — a decision that led to incredible opportunities. She’s had the chance to open for bands like Jodee, Valssar, and even country music superstars Florida Georgia Line. Music continues to be a creative outlet and a source of joy in her life, offering a balance to the demands of running a growing business.

Committed to the Future

Taking over Delta Door & Dock full-time is just the beginning for Katrina. She’s passionate about growing the business, refining its systems, and continuing to provide top-tier service for years to come. Her leadership is focused on empowering her team, elevating customer experiences, and keeping Delta Door & Dock’s name synonymous with quality throughout the community.

Katrina’s goal is simple: to keep Delta Door & Dock moving forward while staying true to the values that have guided the business since its founding.

A Life Filled with Purpose

Outside of work, Katrina enjoys spending time with her family, coaching, playing music, and exploring the outdoors. Her well-rounded life and dedication to her community reflect the same values that drive her professionally — hard work, integrity, and a commitment to helping others.

Katrina McNamara’s story is one of determination, growth, and a willingness to take bold steps in pursuit of a meaningful life and career. As CEO of Delta Door & Dock, she continues to inspire those around her, proving that with vision, dedication, and a little courage, you can build a business — and a life — you’re proud of.
